Progress...

Sometimes, its very easy to get down on yourself. Even when I know I’ve made progress there have still been moment of frustration. However, I do a particular exercise every once in a while to show myself how far I’ve come. I find a really old drawing I did and I re-create it using the skills that I’ve honed. The results are staggering.

Always remember you’re moving forward in life. Don’t ever accept the world for what it seems at a glance. Underneath everything is a story. The picture on the left is something I drew 5 years ago. At the time, I was super proud of it. It wasn’t a stick figure! Looking at it now, especially compared to the newer drawing on the right, it doesn’t even look like the same hand drew it. This is a quick post, but I wanted to make sure I got my message across. If you’re reading this, never give up. You are making progress even though some days it doesn’t feeling like it.
