I’m an artist living in the Pacific Northwest. I specialize in Character Design and Portraits. I work hard to remain prolific in my output. I have been focusing on characters for about 11 years now. If you are stumbling onto this website for the first time, welcome! I call myself Poofypuma. 

Why Lame Gangsters?

Lame Gangsters is an umbrella brand for all of my creative works. Whether that is writing, filmmaking, or art. I also have a Podcast you can find HERE. All of these things contribute to the brand. Though this site will eventually become the landing page for all of those works, currently it serves as my portfolio and means of requesting commissioned work. Yeah, but who's Poofypuma?

Poofypuma is the handle I have gone by most of my digital life. It is tied to my identity just as much as my real name. I go by Chris in the real world, but anyone meeting me here can call me Poofy. I have been doing Character Design for almost 11 years now and I have worked really hard though sweat and tears to get to the level I am today. I am very proud of my work and have a desire to share it with the world. If nothing else, please feel free to peruse my page for your own enjoyment. 

How Much Do You Charge for Commissions?

Pricing will vary depending on the complexity of the art. However I maintain a very competitive price for the work that I do. My costs will correspond to the amount of hours spent on the piece, but prices start as follows:
  • Portraits
    • Black and White: $15
    • Color: $20
  • Medium Shot (waist or legs up)
    • Black and White: $35
    • Color: $40
  • Full Body
    • Black and White: $50
    • Color: $60
All art pieces come with one redraw and two revisions. Pricing will adjust if more are required.

I will leave this with a final thought. Don’t let yourself be the biggest obstacle to your dreams. If you have a passion for something, pursue it. Passion is loving something enough to fail at it. If you’re willing to fail at something, then you will eventually get better at it until you don’t fail at it. I know that's a tall order and its easy to get discouraged. I wasted many good years being discouraged and was less happy because of it. Find your passion and don’t let it go. Keep dreaming.
