Insert Clever Title Here...

This post is simply called Portrait #1. I know, not a very interesting title for a piece, but it was more lighting practice. It also served as my next step toward more realistic portraits. I’m getting there. Below is the portrait piece and a time lapse of the drawing. Hope you all enjoy.

The key components here this time was how the different color lighting reflects off of the skin. This piece has a couple of subtle light sources that are different colors and I tried to capture that as it pertains to lighting a subject. The reference image I used was in Greyscale so I could really capture the shadows. I think there is still some ways to go to really capture the look I’m going for, but I still think this turned out great.
